Wonderful Music, Wonderful Birthday

Today was my birthday and it was a lovely day from beginning to end. The evening’s main event – after a delicious dinner with my terrific husband – was seeing Ballaké Sissoko and Vincent Segal perform at the Atlas art center.
More photos and a review coming soon for examiner. For now, as I saw on a T-Shirt, “I may be old, but I saw all the cool bands.”

Up Close/On Stage: Rhett Miller

Over the course of a fine night at Jammin Java, patrons kept buying drinks for Rhett Miller. He was gracious in his thanks and generous in sharing them with the members of Black Prairie, who opened for him and played on a few of his songs.
